Abrahamson Named To CoSIDA Men’s Basketball Academic All-America Team

first_imgDES MOINES, Iowa – Kale Abrahamson (West Des Moines, Iowa), a redshirt junior on the Drake University men’s basketball team has been named to the 2015-16 CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division I men’s basketball team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).Abrahamson, who was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America third team, was one of 15 men’s basketball student-athletes honored nationally for their academic accomplishments combined with their on-court success.Abrahamson is currently enrolled in graduate school having earned his undergraduate degree in psychology last spring. He is second on the team in scoring at 11.5 points per game and second on the team with 54 made three-pointers. He currently maintains a 3.77 GPA in his MBA coursework and earlier this year was a two-time MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Week selection and a CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree.He received his undergraduate degree from Drake in psychology in the spring of 2015 and had a 3.91 undergraduate GPA after transferring from Northwestern.Abrahamson and the Drake men’s basketball team begin postseason play Thursday, March 3, evening in the first round of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. Print Friendly Versionlast_img read more
